What's new? I've been going to the gym five times a week for the past year what didn't give me the result I was looking for. I cancelled my membership and I started following simple rules from 'Beyond Chocolate' book.
I try to eat very small portions every couple of hours while making sure that I eat very slowly and concentrating on things which I have on my plate. Lots, lots, lots of water and veg ...

What's new? I've been going to the gym five times a week for the past year what didn't give me the result I was looking for. I cancelled my membership and I started following simple rules from 'Beyond Chocolate' book.
I try to eat very small portions every couple of hours while making sure that I eat very slowly and concentrating on things which I have on my plate. Lots, lots, lots of water and veg and a minimum amount of carbs.
In addition to that, I walk to work every day and I do cardio walk twice a week combined with some DVD exercises with the lovely Tamilee Webb.

What is the most amazing about my diet right now? I don't follow any!!! After I started reading the book I realised that I have to learn how to control my body. Every time I feel hungry, I have a big glass of warm water with lemon before opening a fridge what made me see that my hunger was mainly thirst.
It's the same rule when it comes to fitness. I don't have to go to the gym five times a week to be slim! I used to watch TV and eat, now I watch TV and I exercise without following any specific program. When I'm in a good mood, I put a music on and I dance what is great for body and soul.

Why would I recommend that book? It really opens your eyes! I've always been a massive fan of dieting and extreme exercising regimes what has never been a permanent fix. I'm a strong and independent woman who can face almost any challenge so I decided to take control of what I eat! It really works when you think about food as an addiction, something what tries to control you and what you are sometimes unable to win with. It can also be a friend but only when you want it to be...!

Conclusion
I saw the same weight on a scale for a long, long time. Now I know that by being so hard on myself, I was constantly stressed. Dieting and fitness were controlling my life and my body. I started seeing results after becoming relaxed and happy about what I eat and what exercise program I follow. Highly recommended!

It's time for a 'new hello'. It's been 2 year since I discovered SPARKPEOPLE and today I hope to bring in more sad faces who like me before, are looking for a motivation.
The best thing which I have done in order to not only to slim down but to stay slim, was visiting the nutritionist. I stopped my metabolism because of years of dieting and now I don't look for perfect diets which simply do not exist as every single body is different but I enjoy eating and exercising. I stopped eating a lot of fruits as they put my sugar up and I feel hungry and I changed white carbs such as pasta, bread, potatoes for healthy fats which not only burn but help in burning what I've already got!

Today, I would like to invite you all to join my new group on facebook: I CAN be slim! Why? There are many people who have a problem with weight what makes them feel bad and they need an additional motivation. I would also like to invite more facebook fans to join SPARKPEOPLE so I hope that you can help me. I know that there is a group which represents this page but if someone doesn't know about SPARK, he will never find it.

I'm 20 years old, my body used to be perfect. I did 30min of exercises every day (Tamilee Webb, 'I want those...'), once for abs and once for bun. I also had perfect diet and my friends kept asking me how it is possible. In 2005 I moved from Europe to USA where I did my last year of High School and played volleyball and basketball. Our practice was from Mon to Sun. When I've stopped, I've gained 30kg in 10 months plus I had muscles after hours on the gym. It was not healthy and it didn't look good. I was not able to fit into any of my clothes.
When I came to UK and started university, I decided to do something. I was running 1-2h every day. After only 2 weeks, I've injured my knee (it was the second time) and it started getting worse. I was not able to walk. I couldn't study; work ... my life has been ruined. I went back home and stayed in the hospital where I had an operation. My leg didn't listen to me for 3 days and I couldn't stop crying. I wasn't depressed because of the pain but because I was sure that I will never walk. Fortunately everything started getting better and better and I was happy until the doctors said that I will never be able to run or play again. It was ... it was hard but my family and friends didnít let me go down again. I started thinking about people who can't walk and still smile, why can't I?
Today, I am walking, dancing a lot and I started doing my exercises again. I am back on my diet. I don't eat sweets, pasta, bread or potatoes, no fizzy drinks. I feel much better as I've lost lots of weigh. My healthy lifestyle has changed everything. When I went back home for Xmas and was eating a lot, I was sure that I will gain weigh but no, not much. I think that there is a still a lot of work to do. That's why I find that 30 min every day and drink lots of water, green and red tea. People keep saying that I have perfect body shape but I do not agree. You are not fat until you think you are. I want to look and feel good in short skirts and nice tops. I want to wear bikini and enjoy time on the beach.
If you think about changing your life, start right now. Diets don't start from Monday but from the thought. Don't trust what they say about 7 days diet and loosing lots. It's not gona work and you will be twice bigger after few months.
Everybody is different that's why I believe that everyone should have own diet. Think about what you like and whether the portions which you eat are good for you. Try to drink a huge glass of water 10 min before a meal and DO NOT drink when eating. Keep food in your mouth for 20-30s (you can count). Do not eat after 6pm and try to have breakfast every morning. Try to avoid fruits like grapes or bananas and remember that apples or oranges do contain sugar as well so don't try to eat 10 every day. When you think about product, what to buy ... do not read about kcal only. Sodium, fat, sugar ... thatís what you should be interested in; Example? Diet Coke. It doesn't have much kcal, does it? However it's been found that people who drink it gain twice more weight than people who drink normal coke. Why? I advise you to read online and watch the videos and remember that if you have problem with your weight, you are not alone. Millions of people every day struggle to lose it so share your thoughts and search for others.
One more thing. On the beginning, make sure you don't have anything sweet in your house but when you feel stronger, put it in your room and look at it. Crazy? Maybe but it works. When you feel weak, look at your picture and find pictures of nice and fit girls and think about your target or exercise what will remind you how much hard work you have to put into everyday regime to succeed and don't give up. Why? I found that many of my friends kept making sure that they don't see chocolate but when someone asked them if they want some, they couldn't resist. With time you will see that you are stronger than your senses. If you smell something what you used to eat, you just pass it by and don't think how nice would be to have some.

I used to take Korean Ginseng as it provides an extra energy. At the moment I do take Ginkgo Biloba and Cod Liver Oil once a day. Why? I know that everything what's fresh is better and that everyone has 24h during the day, although I honestly don't have time. I love sea food, salmon is my favourite fish but I don't have time to prepare it as often as I should. My Goals:
My goals ... I wish to sleep 8h a day what is not possible :) At the moment I sleep up to 4h/7days a week and to be honest, I have much more energy when I sleep less. I don't drink coffee or red bull.
I try to drink 8 glasses of water every day and exercise for 1h/7 days a week. Why? I want to go back to size 8. Not far to go :)
