Losing 30 Pounds 1 Day at a Time! Be the turtle!

I put on some weight during my Senior year at Sac State. I lost some and gained it back and now I'm starting over again! It is a life long journey I suppose. I'm a short girl, so a few pounds goes a long way with me. I want to loose that weight and keep it off for good.

I recently graduated Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu, CA. I am currently studying for the California Bar exam.

I plan to keep running, doing yoga, and the bootcamp videos. I really hope to get down to my goal weight and stay there! I'm very inspired by the slowest looser (see my teams) and have joined the turtle because he always wins!

I am resetting my goals and making a true New Year resolution to loose all the weight and hit my goal of 125 pounds by January 1st 2014!

My Goals:
Goal 1: Lose 1 pounds per week until I am at a normal body fat %. I would like to some day get all the way down to 115 pounds. This is the ideal body weight I calculated from body fat%.

Goal 2: Fit into my super nice skinny jeans by next year.

Goal 3: Have a flat belly and look great in a bikini by next year.

Goal 4: Practice yoga every day of the week. Ideally at least a quick morning and night sesh.

Goal 5: Run a 9.5 min mile

Goal 6: Complete a 10K race by the end of 2013.

My Program:
Journal all food I eat on Spark and keep within my limits.

Do my cardio, at least 30 min 3 times per week.

Strength train 3x week.

Have a weekly calorie differential of at least 3,500.

Run at least 3 times a week, do Yoga and Meditation.



Personal Information:
I live in beautiful Malibu California and I am a third year law student. I am 30 and I love animals, nature, art, and so much more. I have a BA in Anthropology from Sac State. I am very in love with my happy little family: my husband Ali, and my cat, Lucy.

Ugh I'm glad someone relates to the housing nonsense.
The first one was reasonable, there were like 7 applications. But this last one was vacant and we wanted to move in immediately and there were only 2 other applications and neither of them wanted to move in now, and they still got picked over us! I bet they haven't been looking since February like we have =(

I am SO completely jealous that you got A's last semester!!! I'm in my 2nd semester finals right now and all I want is to finish and go home. Right now they could pick names out of a hat and assign grades that way and I would be happy. How did you motivate? And did you have a special strategy? Or just lots of practice?
