Losing 30 Pounds 1 Day at a Time! Be the turtle!

I put on some weight during my Senior year at Sac State. I lost some and gained it back and now I'm starting over again! It is a life long journey I suppose. I'm a short girl, so a few pounds goes a long way with me. I want to loose that weight and keep it off for good.

I recently graduated Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu, CA. I am currently studying for the California Bar exam.

I plan to keep running, doing yoga, and the bootcamp videos. I really hope to get down to my goal weight and stay there! I'm very inspired by the slowest looser (see my teams) and have joined the turtle because he always wins!

I am resetting my goals and making a true New Year resolution to loose all the weight and hit my goal of 125 pounds by January 1st 2014!

My Goals:
Goal 1: Lose 1 pounds per week until I am at a normal body fat %. I would like to some day get all the way down to 115 pounds. This is the ideal body weight I calculated from body fat%.

Goal 2: Fit into my super nice skinny jeans by next year.

Goal 3: Have a flat belly and look great in a bikini by next year.

Goal 4: Practice yoga every day of the week. Ideally at least a quick morning and night sesh.

Goal 5: Run a 9.5 min mile

Goal 6: Complete a 10K race by the end of 2013.

My Program:
Journal all food I eat on Spark and keep within my limits.

Do my cardio, at least 30 min 3 times per week.

Strength train 3x week.

Have a weekly calorie differential of at least 3,500.

Run at least 3 times a week, do Yoga and Meditation.



Personal Information:
I live in beautiful Malibu California and I am a third year law student. I am 30 and I love animals, nature, art, and so much more. I have a BA in Anthropology from Sac State. I am very in love with my happy little family: my husband Ali, and my cat, Lucy.

I don't have the Nike + cause I don't wear Nike shoes, but the Nike Training Club app has all of these awesome workouts. Like, you select what kind of workout you want -- cardio, strength, or a focused area. Then, you select beginner, intermediate, or advanced. It gives you probably 8-10 workouts depending on what you choose. Some of the workouts require dumbbells, a medicine ball, and/or a jumprope, but no gym equipment required.

You put in your music, hit "begin workout," and it will play your music and give you cues for what exercise to do next and for how long. And, if you don't know what "modified burpee to shoulder press" means, you can watch a video demonstration of it without it really interrupting your workout.

It's so so so incredible.

Me too I have a window, if I miss it no run;) limit to 2 hrs so kinda not sure how to fit runs longer than 2 hr lol.
Have to pick son up from preschool
