No more weight goals for me! Tracking weight makes be absolutely crazy, so I'm focusing on true fitness. My long term goal is to be easily keeping up with my son (now 9 months) when he turns 2! That probably means I'll have to lose some weight, yes, but that's not how I'm going to measure my progress. Healthy eating and good exercise are my tools. The only measurement that matters is what I can do: how much can I lift, how fast can I walk, how long can I play? I have a lot of work to do to change my eating habits and incorporate exercise into my life, and I'm starting small. For example, my first goal (which I set just before I found Spark) was to stop eating in my car. After a week - and a couple of uncomfortable drives - I no longer think of my car as a place to eat. Yay! I was delighted to find SparkPeople, with it's emphasis on gentle starts and sustainable changes, just as I had decided to make some slow, steady changes in my life. It's been a good match so far!
