2/26/2016 - Completed nine days of a very strict cleanse and feeling SO MUCH BETTER! Totally what I needed, and hubby and I agreed we will do this again later this year!

10/10/2015 - Gave up high-caffeine lifestyle

4/28/2014 - We're now a Gluten-free household

Self-Discipline is really just consistency of effort. Keep significantly more "on" days than "off" days and you will find balance between enjoyment of life and meeting goals. It's COMPLETELY possible to have both.


I am keeping VERY focused on my goals which involves rewiring my internal clock a bit (deeply-ingrained behavioral and daily patterns), but I am seeing very steady progress and can't wait to see what's around the corner.

I'm putting in the work to make change happen, and hope to meet others who are inching forward on their journey to mastering consistency of exercise.

I am staying healthy with proper nutrition to support my athletic endeavors.

2-4 days of cardio and sprints

4 days of intense strength-training (15-30 min)

What's exciting about life is that every morning offers a brand-new day with unlimited possibilities. Yesterday's mistakes and regrets belong to yesterday. Today is a clean slate, a chance to start over, to do or become anything you want, a chance to go for it! So, jump into life with both feet! Go forward, head held high, expecting the best...you may be surprised at how often that's exactly what you'll get.

Don't be so tough on yourself about past mistakes ... realize that the lessons were needed and had to be learned firsthand. Be tougher on yourself with following through with your ideas, your plans, dreams, and goals, and staying committed to making the changes you want to make to better yourself, your life, and your future.

Yay, you're on the Emerald Gems! I am so excited. We are definitely going to be kicking butt on our teams together.

My morning gym sessions aren't covert actually. We talked and he was super supportive (like I knew he would be). So I get up with him every morning and go to the gym when he goes to work. It's working well so far. I just need to find a gym routine so I don't just do random things every morning :P

Oh jetlag, that is terrible. I hope you are able to get your schedule back soon. It always sucks being wide awake when you know you are supposed to be sleeping.
