Shared Food & Fitness Trackers
Now that I have lost and regained about 20 pounds, I know I can do it but I'm frustrated that I can just as easily NOT do it. So here's to getting back up again, and just focusing on being healthy. The rest will follow!
Some backstory for ya:
Till I was about 12, I was painfully thin and people thought I wasn't eating enough. I was a very picky eater which didn't help, but I probably ate a lot of junk food to compensate.
In middle school I had some emotional problems (as all middle schoolers do....) and went through puberty at the same time. I was very sedentary and ate a lot of junk. I didn't even realize how much weight I had gained till much later.
When I leveled out and became more active in high school, I lost a lot of weight initially (I don't know how much as I refused to weigh myself or be photographed during this time...). But I didn't watch what I was eating, and over the course of time I started eating a lot of things that I had previously HATED as a kid. For a while I even wanted to be a chef - my appreciation for food has become an obsession at times...
So I find myself graduated from college, all "adult" now and fully capable of taking care of myself, yet I have stopped doing so. I have to stop getting ahead of myself and just take it one minute at a time, one hour at a time, and then one day at a time until I have my healthy streaks back!
I want to become more active, I'm getting into more regular exercise and I hope to continue that. I love yoga and pilates, but I also like cardio machines IF I'm in the mood.
Nutrition: Eating 1200-1550 calories a day, and trying to work in more "good fats"
Taking lunch or dinner to work is a new challenge I'm facing, but not an impossible one!
Getting at least 10,000 steps a day (or averaging over the week), starting with a walking program now and hoping to get back into running shape!

Girl, where I'm from, "Big drawers"(said "big draws") is a COMPLIMENT. Women are SUPPOSED to have hips! It's the shape you were given, so appreciate it! Size 8??? I don't even know what that is!!! LOL! I bet you are beautiful JUST as you are. Don't let the fashion world fool you. Be healthy because you're supposed to be, and don't get terribly upset if you don't get a whole lot smaller.

Hey! Just wondering if you started running again? Now that the weather is getting nice, a jog can be quite refreshing!

I see you're working on taking your meals to work (in a restaurant?). Currently in culinary program, enrolled in 5 classes (including pastry......don't ask), am on two different campuses Tu & Th for 12 hours, so I pack (in SP's Fit n Fresh containers) two meals/two snacks. Need to get some control.....we HAVE to taste our own plus partner's products; but...just a taste & we DON'T have to have full portions or taste EVERYONE'S in the class! Struggling, but....I keep reading the blogs & posts & am at the beginning of The Spark, so......am hopeful.
