To be positive each day. To learn new things. To enjoy the moment. To be grateful. To really listen to others. To forgive others. To be a role model.
Things to work on: To begin to care more about my appearance. To really work on strength training. To try other fitness classes.
Choose healthy foods. Stay on track w/calories. Track all food & exercise. Water aerobics 3x weekly. (When doc releases me) Walk, walk, walk. Weigh every morning. Wear Fitbit to motivate me
My husband and I live in a small town not far from the greater Atlanta area.
In June of 2012 I retired from teaching, a career that I embarked upon in 1972. During those 40 years I taught full time for 26 years and was a stay at home mom for 14 years.
I love to spend time with my daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters ( ages 8 and 10) who live in the Atlanta area.
DH and I spend lots of time with my parents ( ages 86 and 89) who live 10 minutes away.

Thanks so much for commenting on my "Back On Track" blog. Have a great day!
Good morning from the Countdown to Spring team! I hope you are having a healthy, fabulous week so far. Can you believe that there is less than a week until the first day of Spring? (It sure doesn't feel like it in my neck of the woods, though!) Let's make the most of these final days of the challenge...and then keep that momentum going! We can accomplish a lot if we just commit to doing our best one day at a time. We are worth the effort! Hugs, Pixie
"Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the goal. And end goals can seem overwhelmingly huge, daunting, and just plain hard to reach. But if we start measuring our victories by the smaller choices we make each day, victory won't seem so impossible. ....It's amazing the chain reaction that can start in your life with just one good choice. Big things are built one brick at a time. Victories are achieved one choice at a time. A life well lived is chosen one day at a time. Oh sweet friend, you are closer than you think to victory!" -Lysa TerKeurst
Thanks for the goodie! My recovery is going fairly well, I'm getting my energy level back up close to where it had been, it will still be a while before I get full use of my left arm/hand but it is getting better.
