At 46, I've been running for a little over a year and I think I'm officially hooked. Starting with the treadmill and short sprints really opened my eyes to how freeing running can be. Then I headed to the Centennial Trail, a 24 miled blacktop path that runs along the edge of our town and is a clean, safe place to work out. I easily get in 25 miles a week, and ofen more. Most recently, I've been playing with trail-running and that seems to be the best!

With all the miles I log every week, I'm training to do the Breast Cancer 3-day in November with my little sister. She's currently going through treatments for breast cancer and we're both going to walk with a vengence!

I'm also trying to understand the connections between my mind, body and spirit and my goal is to meditate every day to enhance my overall health. This is what I really need to work on these days.

Personal Information:
I choose a very anti-inflammatory diet of mostly raw veggies with a small amount of protein every day. No dairy, no eggs (I'm allergic to both) and a gallon of water. I also choose to work out daily in a variety of ways.

Other Information:
For exercise, I switch off between a pilates reformer, walking and running and interval training of squats and short sprints. Truly love the running!

How do you push amino acids? Do you take supplemnts or design a meal plan based on the foods that are the highest in amino acids?

Just checking - glad to see you are doing good. Read the article link to the gluten. Still haven't been tested for Celiacs even though my doctor has been telling me too.....Hope you have a great weekend.

I agree with your comment on my blog. "Normal people" eat junk. Healthy people like us are not normal. How sad is that.

I would LOVE TOO!! Right now I am still under treatment for my asthma.. but I am walking 4-5 days a week on the TM. The goal is to start the C25K in november so that by mid to late January I will be up to at least a 5K again.

Hi there,
I hope you don't mind, but I added you as a friend so I could keep up with your blogs. I would love to learn more about how you choose what veggies to eat. I am trying to learn to eat more natural and raw especially. Also, how do you balance your diet needs with feeding your family? Do they eat what you eat? Sorry to be so personal, I have sort of lost my way with eating raw and I'm trying to find a new path.
