It is a LIFESTYLE not a diet

I can honestly relate to a yo-yo over the past few years! I have done great then gained it back over and over and over again so I am very familiar with ups and downs.

I am now at my heaviest ever in my life and I guess it took hitting a new low to realize that no matter what I do that diets do not work! I proved that I can do extreme diets and loose weight really fast but I could never make it last since I wasn't building the skills required to remain fit. Instead of building ...

I proved that I can do extreme diets and loose weight really fast but I could never make it last since I wasn't building the skills required to remain fit. Instead of building good habits I was building unrealistic ones!

I am now only making very small goals and we will see where I end up!

Thank you for the encouragement. My asthma has continued to worsen as the week progressed, and it is very frustrating to have to do less activity than I would like to do.
I read what your latest update says...slow progress is ok.. Perseverence will be rewarded. That is what I keep reminding myself also. The Book of James gives me encouragement in that dept. Also, remember to rely fully on God. If you have read 2Chron. Chapters 14, 15 &16 it is a good lesson on relying fully on God. Whenever Asa relied on God, things went well. When he relied on people or other things instead of God...well the outcome was not so good. We are so fortunate to have such a loving God who knows our hearts an hears & answers our prayers. Whatever happens, however long it takes to reach your goal, do not give up. Have patience. Look up, rely on Him and Praise Him. emoticon emoticon Small goals, one step at a time is really the best way to go!

Hey there girly! Thanks for the super sweet comment on my page and CONGRATS on your awesome success so far. This has been a LONG battle of ups and downs and I know you can get there too! Spark people has been hands down the best resource I've ever found. This place has the greatest community and the tools are so helpful.

I have lots of random little tips on things that have worked for me but by far, the best advice I can give you is to use your spark! You get out of this site what you put into it...and you can gain SO much!

I've added you too so don't be a stranger. We can keep each other on track.

Keep it up! You've got this!
