I have been on and off Sparks for a long time. I am starting over with a new tool. I am now 4 days post op for gastric sleeve surgery. I have a lot to lose and a lot of reasons to do. We will soon be empty nesters and I want to be around a long time more. We have 3 children. The oldest is married with 2 children. The middle will be graduating from college soon and getting married in the spring. The youngest is headed off to college in the fall. I want to grow old with my husband and see all our kids well into the lives God has in in store for them.

I have not set a good example for my family as far and food and exercise is concerned. I am changing that here and now. This surgery is a new beginning and I plan to get it right. I will not waste this opportunity!

My Goals:
My goals are to get fit and lose a life time of bad habits, be active and set a good example for my 13 year old daughter. I want to improve the quality of my life and to heal my hyatial hernia. I want to cure my sleep apnea and high blood pressure.

My Program:
I try to follow my daily calories to allow 2 pounds of weight be shed. I enjoy the "Biggest Loser" workouts and a walking program as well as my eliptical trainer. I can't say that I enjoy exercise, but am giving it a shot. My son is a big motivator and check in daily to see if I have done my exercise. I really hate to tell him "no" so I just go ahead and do the exercise. I am hoping that it will become a habit.

    I noticed in the SparkCoach SparkDiet Program Huddle that you needed support. I'm just starting over after a huge weight gain during several rough and emotional months. I'm taking it one day at a time and trying to build consistency in my life.
    That's all I can say to you - one day at a time; build consistency in making better choices. . .
    The important thing is that you are still here and not giving up on yourself!
    Stay focused on your goals, determined to reach them, and positive that you will!
