I've been overweight practically my whole life. I was the designated fat kid in all (4) my different schools grades 2 - 5 and had crossed the 300lb mark by my freshman year. I've suffered from varying levels of chonic pain and depression for about 20 years and have almost no self-esteem. My doctors have always told me basically that all my health problems would be better if I lost weight, but all my efforts have ultimately failed. In the last couple of years, some of them have really started pushing the idea of gastric banding on me. Being active and accountable on this site is my last ditch effort to avoid that option.

Fitness Minutes: 1,020

My Goals:
Go from 360 to 300 lbs. by 16 Jan 2013.
Reduce chronic pain to levels that don't prevent me from being active for at least 30 minutes every day.
Define and stick to a budget that will allow me to get all needed dental work by the end of 2013 and purchase a 6-month membership to Ancestry.


My Program:
I will log all my meals and snacks in my nutrition log, no matter how guilty I feel, so that I become accountable for what I eat and can consciously start eating healthier and within my limits.
I will walk at least 4 miles each week.
I will strenght train for 15 minutes or more at least 2 days a week.
I will drink at least 9 cups of water each day, stay off soda, and limit other caloric drinks such as tea and juice.

I'm currently a FB Games addict, but am trying to decrease the amount of time spent on games so I can focus on my health and getting back into my family genealogy.
