I believe setting both small and large goals in terms of fitness, but focusing on the small ones for weight loss are less stressful.
Short Term Goal: Have lost 5 lbs by December 11th.
Long Term Goal: Weigh between 120-140 and participate in a fitness competition after reaching my goal.
Ten minutes on an elliptical is extremely hard (walking to the next room already has my heart racing), so I've been doing that with an extra 5 minutes (15 minutes). I prefer the elliptical because I go faster on it then I do a treadmill and it doesn't cause me to twist my ankle or knee every time. I love weight lifting as well. Always have!
Nutrition can be difficult with temptation all around, but I can't get mad that my family eats bad in front of me because the temptation is going to be around me all my life. I loved the documentary, "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead" and try to juice at least once a day. I tried only juicing for meals, but that didn't go to well. I eat best on the days I count calories.

Hey I wanted to thank you for leaving that encouraging comment on my blog the other week!! It helped me out a lot. It's common sense that if someone really likes you and wants to spend time with you in a non-physical way they will do it!!! Or make plans to at least. Other than that we don't really know what their intentions are. So thanks for the reminder and the confidence boost. Hope you are having a great weekend so far!!

Awww thanks so much for your comments. Like you said, Spark People is different. Some of us have been on here forever and we KNOW there is no quick fix or coverup to everything that can go on inside us. These things can affect how we feel and how we look on the outside too. This is a long term relationship with health. I'm so excited you decided to join; me and the other members will be here for you whenever you need an opinion, a listening ear, or just someone to chat to!!
