Here and not going anywhere!
This journey is one for life. There's ups and downs, sprints and marathons, starts and restarts! I'm in it for the long haul because I frankly don't have any other options. This time around I'm going at it from a Paleo and Gluten Free perspective. I've been informed I have significant sensitivities to certain foods and may be able to tie those to my complaints of anxiety, hormone issues, and general illness and fatigue levels. This journey is one for life. There's ups and downs, sprints and marathons, starts and restarts! I'm in it for the long haul because I frankly don't have any other options. This time around I'm going at it from a Paleo and Gluten Free perspective. I've been informed I have significant sensitivities to certain foods and may be able to tie those to my complaints of anxiety, hormone issues, and general illness and fatigue levels. I am determined to stick with this because my life right now, well it's not where I want it to be. I want to feel good - I know every day will never be perfect but I need more stability and energy to take on the challenges I have ahead of me. So I'm back on Spark, I'm logging my foods and my workouts, and I'm reconnecting with friends on here. It worked before, it will work again. Spark is a lot about being honest with yourself - and that's exactly what I need!

My Goals:

My Program:
1) Nutrition - No gluten, almost no preservatives, cooking the majority of my own foods from scratch. 2) Activity - either walking around the neighborhood or hitting the gym whenever possible. 3) Improve my my mind and balance - rest, relax, meditate, pray, and keep the sanity. 4) Water - drinking 8-10 glasses per day!
Personal Information:
I live in Royal Oak, Michigan and love the area! I am very close to my family and have wonderful friends. I'm an ER nurse and love my job. I'm also currently in graduate school to obtain my Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner degree (graduating summer 2013!!)
Other Information:
I am ultimately looking for balance. Balance of workload, family, friends, faith, and self. I am trying to obtain better health by changing my nutrition and exercise to decrease my anxiety, help manage my hormones, and improve my overall health.
