12/6/15: I'm ready for 2015 to be over and 2016 to start. So ready in fact that I've already decided what my goals for the year are going to be.

2016 is going to be the year of Healthy Habits. Each month I'm going to work on a new habit that will get me moving, improve my eating or make me feel better. I'm not good at putting myself first, but I'm going to be by the end of the year.

Fitness Minutes: 68,456

My Goals:
By the end of the 2016 year I want to have accomplished the following goals.

1.Walk 2016 Miles in 2016.

2.Spend no more than 30 minutes on the computer at home daily and limit reading time on the Kindle to 30 minutes.

3.Get to the Gym at least 30 times during each quarter of the year.

4. Be rowing 5000 meters at a pace of 2:09.7/500 meters by 10/16/16

5. Work on a new Healthy Habits every Month



My Program:
Spring 5% Challenge Exercise Plan

Walk the dog daily
Water Aerobic M,W Evening
Swim 2x per week, S,S
Strength Training 2x per week T,R
Stretch 7 days a week
Walk 11,87 steps a day

Diet - Follow Weight Watchers and incorporate elements of the Full Plate Diet.

Hello! I'm a long time Sparker (I joined in 2009) but didn't get serious until August 2012. I love how this program has helped me improve my health.

I live in Ferguson, MO, I'm a RN working in Complex Care for a Fortune 500 insurance company. I am an avid sports fan and LOVE my Missouri Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals.

I'm looking forward to making 2016 the year of healthy habits.

    I stopped weighing myself, but I track my food religiously every day. The reason why I walk so much is so I can eat more. It is so hard not eating very much.

    I'm not doing any challenges right now. We have been traveling so much that I can't participate consistently in anything. I was away from home the entire month of June, and don't have internet access very often. Life has to slow down eventually, but probably not until the end of my son's senior year.
