My Adventure To A Fit Life

I just turned 50 and I am ready for change. I don't want to look or feel 50. I have two weddings to get fit for. I have a hard time with punishing myself. If I cheat I feel bad then I got and eat even more. I need to learn to give myself a break. I am currently attending a health program at work called Wellness 180 I call it "fat camp" This is my second time around with this program. As you can tell I need to lose about 38 pounds to get to my goal weight. Wish me luck

Hi Linda,

Things are going well here. I'm plugging along -- some good days, some not so great. But fortunately the good outnumber the not so great.

Sorry to hear that you're stuck with training the new secretary. But that just means they value and trust you! On most days I like to find the positives in negative situations. If the weather is getting nicer, maybe you can break free from training and take some short mini-walks.

Keep positive and keep on keepin' on.

Oh my, you and I are in the same boat, kind of. I lost 95 pounds through the Jenny Craig program in time for my oldest son's wedding in June 08. Only to re-gain about 60. You did considerably better than me in keeping it off. But I know now that those programs don't work for me. I can lose on them, but I don't change habits and therefore gain it all back. I'm so thankful I found SP before I put the full 95 (+) pounds back on. It's a long road ahead of me, but it's a journey I'm ready (and willing!) to take now.
