Changing my habits one by one

Today is my first day on Spark...I know Friday, June 13th, 2008 is going to end up being my lucky day!

In a few short minutes it will be Friday, June 20th, 2008 - one whole week as a Sparkler!!! Other than the days I was at a remote camp as the camp photographer with no access to the internet to log in and spin for my log in points - I totally stayed on track! It might only be 7 days but it's 7 marvelous days of consistancy for me! I'm so excited ...

Friday, June 27th - made it two weeks! Two amazing weeks of fueling my body with nutritious food, washing my insides with clean filtered water, staying on track with my daily supplements, logging in daily to SPARK working on all and can and moving, moving, moving!

My Goals:
Cardio 30 min. daily
100 oz. water a day
Supplements taken daily as instructed by Dr. T
Log into Spark daily & log activities, food eaten, water intake, supplements & journal.
Read 5 Sparkpages a day for inspiration & to leave encouragement.
Cook daily for my husband & myself - enjoying the process of preparing the food and his company while eating.
Listen to music that inspires me while getting my cardio in.


My Program:
Cardio: I am doing 210 minutes a week (working up to 2-a-days for cardio and I'm so excited about how my energy level throughout the entire day is improving.

Eat Clean - Just finished Tosca Reno's The E-C Diet and love it!




Personal Information:
I live North of Dallas with my husband of 20 years and two beautiful children. I enjoy setting goals in all areas of my life and giving it my all to achieve them! My interests are vast - from following Nascar, music of all kinds, supporting breast cancer education/charity events, motivational & inspirational books, scrapbooking & journaling, Iron Chef America, Hells Kitchen & I'm currently working on establishing basic culinary skills. I love organization but can thrive under the craziest chaos if need be. My favorite drink after water is unsweetened brewed tea ranging from black & green tea to herbal infusions of natural ingredients (and definitely no artificial sweetners of any kind are in any part of my diet! I made this decision based on information ourson with a seizure disorders pediatric neurologist provided me with and I've never wanted it since. I had no idea how poisonous it has proven to be!!!) I'm a speed reader so I can consume books - so leave me any recommendation

Other Information:
With the help of a great doc - (Dr. T) I'm now off of 12 (yes TWELVE) medications and maintaining my blood pressure within normal limits for almost a year now!!! Wo0-hoo! Can you imagine how much money we save monthly now!!! I'm loving using my new ipod my husband TOTALLY surprised me with during my cardio each day.

Thanks for checking in on me with regards to the protein powder! Sorry I didn't answer sooner... just got busy. I haven't ordered yet - have to wait until after the 20th - payday. Ya know? But I'm definately going to get some (or ask our local health food store to order it). Thanks for letting me know that it even exists!
