I have the power to change my habits and so do you!
I joined SP on March 3. 2012 and it is changing my life. Not only have I begun to lose weight and get stronger, firmer muscles, I have also gained confidence in myself. I believe that I really can change my life for the better by breaking old, destructive habits and developing new, healthy ones. Since starting Spark, I have met the following goals: 1. I do some kind of exercise every day (some days it is only 10-15 minutes, but that is better than nothing!) 2. ...
I joined SP on March 3. 2012 and it is changing my life. Not only have I begun to lose weight and get stronger, firmer muscles, I have also gained confidence in myself. I believe that I really can change my life for the better by breaking old, destructive habits and developing new, healthy ones. Since starting Spark, I have met the following goals: 1. I do some kind of exercise every day (some days it is only 10-15 minutes, but that is better than nothing!) 2. In 9 weeks, I lowered my blood pressure to the point that I no longer need to be on medication. I still have a looooooong way to go, but at least I am heading in the right direction. I want to have a healthy BMI and lower my cholesterol. I also really, really want to not have to shop in the plus size department and I want to wear a tank top in public without feeling self-conscious. I know I can do this and so can you! Feel free to add me as a friend; we all need help and support on this journey!

My Program:
*Drink at least 10 cups of water each day. *Do at least 10 minutes of exercise each day. *Look for ways to be more active throughout the day. *Take at least 8500 steps a day *Strength train at least 2 times per week. *Choose healthy snacks over salty, processed snacks. *When given a choice of foods, choose the healthiest options *Log in to SP every day to give and get support, learn about healthy habits, and stay motivated. *Say kind things to myself and recognize my successes!
Personal Information:
I am a married, pre-school teacher and part time library assistant living in southern PA. I love to cook, collect cookbooks, knit, walk, exercise (I think this is the first time I have ever listed exercise as one of my favorite things!), and spend time with my husband, friends, and pets.
