To help my spirit and mind, I read Deepak Chopra quite often. In a recent writing, he explains "The Wisdom Of Ayurveda" ...
...from the five elements, the three doshas are derived - Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Known as mind-body types, the doshas express particular patterns of energy -unique blends of physical, emotional and mental characteristics.
In Ayurveda, health is defined as the dynamic state of balance between mind, body and environment. It is possible for each of us to achieve and maintain a vibrant and joyful state of health by identifying our mind-body type and then creating a lifestyle that sustains and nurtures our unique nature.
I am what is called Kapha Dosha:
When Kapha is out of balance, too much Earth has accumulated in mind, body and environment. The result is a sense of sluggishness, congestion, and dullness. The best way to balance excess Kapha is to bring more movement and circulation into the physiology. Think invigorating!

*Look for opportunities to create healthy change
*Favor pungent, bitter, and astringent tastes

I am back on Spark. And it feels really good for my spirit to log on and reconnect with friends.
Weight Watchers says:
"Do not let the numbers on the scale dictate your success. Let the changes such as your eating better, being able to walk an extra block, being able to run an extra five minutes be what you go by. Then you will succeed."
Long term goals:
* 30 minutes MINIMUM of activity every day
* Better food choices
*Track food daily, even on weekends and days I overeat - accountability is key!
* Have a better frame of mind not only for weight loss, but for every day life

I subscribe to Oxygen fitness magazine and they have the information needed to help with weight loss/fitness goals. I also have Tosca Reno's book "The Eat Clean Diet" and a friend gave me "The Eat Clean Cookbook" - both books are great to help you along your weight loss journey.
I find motivation from people like Jackie Warner, Tosca Reno, Elaine Goodland, Maggie Diubaldo, Francisca Dennis and Jennifer Nicole Lee. I recently fulfilled my dream of getting a personal trainer. Ron McQueen/Seattle Muscle I love you!
