Myrene's Healthy Journey

Working on getting healthy in mind, body and spirit. It has been a long rough road but making progress. If I just concentrate on my body it appears I am not making progress but when I concentrate on mind and spirit there is progress. That now is my priority and doing 30 minutes of workout everyday because when I exercise my mind is clearer.
This quote by Dr. Wayne Dyer has had a big impact on me.

"Consider that the number one health problem in America seems to be obesity. How can you feel inspired and live in simplicity if you're gorging on excessive amounts of food and eliminating the exercise that the body craves? Recall that your body is a sacred temple where you reside for this lifetime, so make some time every single day for exercising it. Even if you only manage a walk around the block, just do it. Similarly, keep the words portion control uppermost in your consciousness-your stomach is the size of your fist, not a wheelbarrow! Respect your sacred temple and simplify your life by being an exerciser and sensible eater. I promise that you'll feel inspired if you act on this today! " Dr. Wayne Dyer, in Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling.

Thank you for commenting on my blog, "My Review of The Spark Activity Tracker." Have a great day!

PS: Sparkpeople gave it to me before it was released. In return I had to test it out and then blog about it to spread the word.

Thanks for commenting on my "Pity Party" blog. I appreciate the support and encouragement. I got lots of great feedback and it has given me plenty to think about and consider. One thing I know is that I will never give up on trying to reach my goal, even if I have to change my approach. Have a great day!

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark.
In the hopeless swamps of the not quite, the not yet, and the not at all,
do not let the hero in your soul perish and leave only frustration for the life you deserved, but never have been able to reach.
The world you desire can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it is yours."

Thanks for stopping by my page. That is great that you have just 14 more lbs to lose! I bet you feel great in those size 14 jeans after having been in size 3x. I started in 3x too and I'm mostly in size 18's now. My ultimate goal is to get to a size ten. We will both reach 0ur goals, because we know we are worth the effort!
Have a great day!
Hugs,
Pixie

"Sometimes victory seems so far away because we measure it only by the goal. And end goals can seem overwhelmingly huge, daunting, and just plain hard to reach. But if we start measuring our victories by the smaller choices we make each day, victory won't seem so impossible.....
It's amazing the chain reaction that can start in your life with just one good choice.
Big things are built one brick at a time.
Victories are achieved one choice at a time.
A life well lived is chosen one day at a time.
Oh sweet friend, you are closer than you think to victory!"
-Lysa TerKeurst

Be your own hero, one choice and one step at a time! You might not see visible signs of progress right away, but as long as you keep doing your best, you will make progress and you will be victorious! I'm rooting for you! Remember, you're worth your best effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

“The difference between stepping stones and stumbling blocks is not in the event itself but how you think about it and what you do after it.
Every failure and setback can become part of your success or an excuse for quitting or failing.
People who develop the discipline of positivity are both happier and more successful."
-Michael Josephson

Just dropping by to say hello, Sparkfriend! Remember, you don't have to be perfect on this journey in order to make progress! As long as you keep trying...and never quit...you are already a success! Keep doing your best, because you are worth the effort!
Hugs,
Pixie

"Part of abandoning the all-or-nothing mentality is allowing yourself room for setbacks.
We are bound to have lapses on the road to health and wellness, but it is critical that we learn how to handle small failures positively so that we can minimize their long-term destructive effects.
One setback is one setback—it is not the end of the world, nor is it the end of your journey toward a better you.”
-Jillian Michaels
