Myrene's Healthy Journey

Working on getting healthy in mind, body and spirit. It has been a long rough road but making progress. If I just concentrate on my body it appears I am not making progress but when I concentrate on mind and spirit there is progress. That now is my priority and doing 10 minutes of workout everyday because when I exercise my mind is clearer.
This quote by Dr. Wayne Dyer has had a big impact on me.

"Consider that the number one health problem in America seems to be obesity. How can you feel inspired and live in simplicity if you're gorging on excessive amounts of food and eliminating the exercise that the body craves? Recall that your body is a sacred temple where you reside for this lifetime, so make some time every single day for exercising it. Even if you only manage a walk around the block, just do it. Similarly, keep the words portion control uppermost in your consciousness-your stomach is the size of your fist, not a wheelbarrow! Respect your sacred temple and simplify your life by being an exerciser and sensible eater. I promise that you'll feel inspired if you act on this today! " Dr. Wayne Dyer, in Inspiration: Your Ultimate Calling.

"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life."
-Tom Venuto

"Just because we are knocked down does not mean that we are out.
We still have breath in our lungs and tears flowing down - all signs that we are alive!
Take a deep breath and be reminded that often our biggest struggles are stepping stones to our greatest victories."

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.”
-John C. Maxwell

"The common conception is that motivation leads to action, but the reverse is true....action precedes motivation. You have to "prime the pump" and get the juice flowing, which motivates you to work on your goals. Getting momentum going is the most difficult part of the job, and often taking the first step is enough to prompt you to make the best of your day."
-Robert McKain
