Hi! I am Sarah, a new runner and a big SparkPeople fan. I am working to become healthier, happier and more confident. Last year I ran my first half marathon, which was an amazing experience, especially since I never ran before the first day of training or did much in the way of exercise. I ran my second half marathon in May 2011. I am not the fastest runner, but I love the way it makes me feel when I run regularly. I also love yoga, walking and biking. I have made a lot of progress thanks to SparkPeople. I want to be healthy and proud of who I am!

2011 Goals:

1. Run a half marathon. -- COMPLETED 5/1/11!
2. Start cooking healthy meals for myself.
3. Find a new job.
4. Commit to regular workouts and healthy eating.
5. Incorporate ways to reduce my stress.

My Goals:
1. Eat healthier, control my portions, and incorporate more fruits and vegetables into my diet.
2. Exercise consistently.
3. Increase my self confidence.
4. Learn to cook healthy meals.

My Program:
I pack my lunch every day and drink at least 64 ounces of water a day. I have been exercising more by running, walking and doing yoga. Now I need to work on making healthy food choices and eating the right foods. I ran my second half marathon in 2011 and am training for a 10-mile race. I may begin blogging too.

Personal Information:
I am 30 (still getting used to that!) and I live in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. I got married on October 3, 2009, to my wonderful husband. I love traveling, reading, attempting to cook and exploring Minnesota. I am a family law attorney. I also have a weakness for celebrity gossip!

Other Information:
I love chick flicks, good books, Mexican food, shopping (especially for shoes) and lazy weekends. My husband and I are hoping to go to Amsterdam within the next couple of years. We love traveling, especially in Europe. We are in Ireland in May for our friends' wedding!
