What a beautiful family you have! I took a peek at your quilts and you are so talented. The border fabric you used with the butterflies is very similar to the fabric I used for one of my grandaughters' quilts. That's the profile picture I have up. I love pastels and calico type prints so a couple of yours really caught my attention.
I have just always thought machine quilting would be stronger than anything I could do. I have to re-think this. Hand quilting is so therapeutic and relaxing for me and I love doing it. Time is an important factor with the baby quilts, however. I am planning to make a quilt for each of my three daughters for Christmas and I need to get my other projects out of the way quickly so I can get busy with them. Thanks so much for your repsponse. I really appreciate it. 2849 days ago
Hi Mona, Thanks for visiting my page and for your good thoughts. I hope your head feels better. You sure don't want to turn into Humpty Dumpty!LOL! Just kidding! My best thoughts are with you. I used to do a lot of sewing and a little quilting, but my quilts were only hand tied baby quilts for gifts, not big projects. However, my sewing projects sometimes took on a life of their own. I did all of my daughter's frilly dresses for church, jumpsuits, PJ's, nighties, most of my maternity clothes, more stuff than I can remenber, but not so much anymore. It was snowing today, but is supposed to be close to 80 this weekend. I can't WAIT!!! Winter was way too long and harsh here. Blessings, Sandy 2868 days ago
