Karla's Gonna Lose it!

2/23/14: Restarting!!! Again.

Here I am again, starting over. I am not at my highest weight. I am about 10 pounds less. But it's for sure not where I want to be.

I want to lose 100 pounds in a years time by eating right and exercising. I want to feel and look healthy. I want to teach my children how to live a healthy lifestyle. I want to feel good about myself.

Hey girl. Week 1 of Paleo went very well. I lost 6.4 lbs emoticon emoticon emoticon
I know its mostly a week one thing but it's nice to see results especially after a strict week of clean eating.
How was food for you this week?

I totally feel you on last week not going the way you hoped. Honestly, I've been struggling a lot with the idea of moderation vs. abstinence. Last week I decided on moderation (because abstinence scares me) and it ended up with me way overeating (mostly carbs) and seeing a big fat 0 on the scale. So I decided to pull up my big girl pants and commit to abstinence from all my trigger foods for at least the rest of the month. A friend had told me about the Paleo 30 day challenge a few weeks ago and I remember thinking 'WOW, that's so difficult. I would NEVER" Well, last friday, I kept running into posts about Paleo on tumblr and I looked it up. After seeing that it was no carbs or dairy (the foods that always cause my downfall), I thought it would work best for the month. It's day 5 and honestly, I don't regret it. Its forced me to stop eating out and get in the kitchen which has been messy but fun.
I'm still slacking on getting a regular work-out schedule or plan though emoticon
How are you doing this week food wise?! More morning workouts?
