Maintaining myself

Hi!!! I'm here because I need to learn how to stay at a healthy weight without dipping too low or gaining any of it back. I have gone from 167pds. to 116pds, all within five years and have learned how quickly it becomes a balancing act.
For me, it becomes a number and size game which only leads me to more obsessive and unhealthy traits. Traits that will only make me crazier and won't be good for my body in let's say... 10 years!

I am new to Oregon by the way of Los Angeles and never realized how much of an outdoors person I am. I am loving my new surroundings and adapting in an excellent manner! Loving myself has never felt so good :D

OHHH and most importantly, I am here trying to stay away from those evil baked goods that Or. and Wa. have to offer :D It's time to stop with the annoying yo-yo body weight!

My Goals:
My biggest and possibly most important goal is to enjoy whatever weight I am, from day to day!
I would also like to become a better runner without losing too much weight (def. avoiding a lanky runner's body.)

Baby goal A- 5miles at 8minutes each by Dec1st. Reward=new gym clothes that fit. DONE!!!

Baby goal B-7miles under an hour. Reward=Garmin 4runner watch. DONE and ahead of schedule!

Baby goal C-10miles without stopping by 3rd wk of Feb.. Reward=Little bit of shopping when I visit home. DONE!!!

Main goal- Half marathon by end of March. Reward= to finally call myself a long distance runner!

Rewards- for every pound lost... a cute article of clothing to show off the toned bod that I am getting!



My Program:
Maintaining a healthy relationship with food by moderation. Eating more clean meals and baking my own snacks. That will be the only way that I will learn that less sugar is better!

I absolutely love my gym!

Cardio 6xs a wk (5 of them running days where I do anything from 3M to tempo running.)

Strength train 3xs a wk (change it up every 6wks.) Do abs/pilates dvd 5xs a wk.
One day of just rest and sleeping in but must stretch!


I officially need about 1600 cals. a day but have found success with calorie cycling. Different days require different calorie needs that must be met!

Personal Information:
Originally from Los Angeles, Ca. so adapting to this Portland Oregon life. Veggies and fruit are not the same! Neither are the stores so still finding my groove but loving it :D

Other Information:
My weakness appears to be sweets. I LOVE cupcakes and have just recently cut back on all my sugar so I tend to hate life most of the time :) Just playing, well not really but I'm sure I will eventually get used to it.

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I have been out of town for spring break, and I feel like I haven't had hardly any time on the computer. I am proud to say that I am still with my persnal trainer. It's going better than ever. I have lost lots of fat and gained even more muscle, and I am practically living at the gym! So, how is everything on your end?

It's going I guess. Did lots of housework and workouts. No eating unless I was really hungry,and no drinking alcohol at a social event tonight. I am proud of myself. Haven't really notices a chnage on the scale but my clothes are loser, so that's a good start. How about you?
