Hi, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease in 2002... so I have a hypothyroid... when I was diagnosed I was a size 8-10... at my biggest I was a size 20 and disgusted with myself... i am now a 16 and i feel much better but my goal is to be a 10-12... I've always exercised. I eat well, drink water, no fast food, eat veggies, etc... but unfortunately because of the thyroid disfunction the road is long and arduous In about 2005 I hit an all time low. I was very depressed, looked like caca and stopped working out. That was due to a number of factors. One my boyfriend at the time "helped" me to get and stay fat, he was very jealous and insecure I now realize. Two, I was depressed and lethargic from the hypothyroid, I had absolutely zero energy. And three, I was embarrassed of being so fat. Since, January 2008 I have been working out hard. Twice a week I do step aerobics and once or twice a week kickboxing (with a punching bag). I also walk 4-5 times a week a couple of miles each time. Most recently, I have returned to yoga... which I am ecstatic about. I started Armour in February 2008 and that helped immensely. I can now live a relatively normal lifestyle... I can go throughout the day without a nap, my hair is growing, I'm not getting muscle cramps anymore.. and I feel clearer... which is WONDERFUL... now I just need to drop weight... So far I've dropped about 35 pounds since I started. It is very slow coming off because of the thyroid condition. But I am hopeful... I want to be thin again. Wish me luck!
