Maintaining and improving

Lost a couple of stone since Christmas (it's now the end of May), and want to lose another stone to get down to my ideal weight in the next couple of months...

March 2010 update:
I lost another half a stone after I posted the above paragraph a couple of years ago, but I have put a stone back on since I injured my knee by running in old shoes.
I have bought new shoes, and am going to lose that stone by the end of May 2010 and then kick on through to lose the extra half ...

March 2010 update:

End of August 2010 update:
I lost the stone by the end of July, and the half stone is being worked on, although I would be happy to stay at 180lbs - I'm strength training and running every day, so my body fat % is getting lower, although the pounds aren't dropping off at the moment - I guess they don't really need to now, either!

End September 2010 update:
I am now down to almost 175 - I never really thought I would ever be that weight again, but now I have a flat stomach I can see that I will be able to stay below that, once I get there, because I feel so good about my body image now. I have managed to continue these improvements despite pulling my achilles tendon and therefore being unable to run - I tried cycling, but was going at that too intensively, so now I am swimming 3x a week, and loving it. Once my achilles is healed (hopefully end of October) I will swim once, cycle once, run once and jump rope once and then go back to swimming and start the rota again.

Welcome to the gang, we are a very friendly & supportive group of Sparkers so come on in and feel at home here. Drop in for ‘A Natter’ anytime or check up our next Sunday Lunch get-together & come & meet up with us. We have started meeting up with each other for the odd Sunday lunch, the first of which was last year in Telford, one was in Feb in Birmingham & the last one was in Nottingham in May. Hopefully the next will be either Telford or Birmingham in September.
Each year for the past 3 years, Pete (DH & also CATMAN124) & I have organised the UK Main Team Party in the Park at Coombe Abbey and although the gatherings have only been small so far, we are hoping that as an annual event, it will grow & grow. This year it was held on the 24th July & we had a brilliant time. (see Pete’s Bog from the weekend or mine with more photos)
