My Journey

2007 - You all know and recognize my story..on and off the Weight Watcher's wagon for as long as I can remember. I can't seem to find the right motivation to keep the weight off and I am tired of worrying about being "fat".

2009 - I laugh as I read that entry at the beginning of my journey. I am proud to say that now I have 20 pounds to lose, not 57. It's funny how in at first the life style change seems so challenging and scary. But now eating healthy, making good choices ...

But now eating healthy, making good choices and exercising consistently is a way of life and I wonder how I ever managed not to do it! I finally "get it!"

My Goals:
To lose the last 20 lbs.

To be a good role model for my family and friends

To provide motivation and encouragement for those who are on the same journey as I am

To be comfortable in my own body

To know it is okay to have a "bad day" once in a while and not to beat myself up

Treating the week-ends as regular days, not an excuse to forget about mylong term goals

My Program:
Cardio 5-6x/wk

Strength train 3x/wk

Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily

Journal consistently

Track my calories daily

Positive self-talk!

Personal Information:
My name is Diane, I am 56 years old and live in a rural town in upstate NY. I am a teacher.
I am happily married for 36 years to a great guy. We have one beautiful daughter and son-in-law.

Other Information:
I love to read, cook, bake and entertain my family. I also like to exercise and have an extensive collection of exercise DVD's that I use as my motivation.
