Finally getting the weight down!

I am 28 years old, and have been trying to lose weight for about 3 years with no success. I am proud to say that I am finally losing weight! My main motivators are my three boys: my husband, and my two sons. I was tired of being fat and not doing anything about it. I finally saw an infomercial for Zumba, and I was hooked. I got into a routine of doing Zumba for 5 to 6 times a week, and started practicing portion control. My husband left to Afghanistan in July of 2010, and he is extremely proud ...

I weighed 166 when he left (which is a lot for my 5'1'' frame). I now weigh 139 (as of February 25)!

update: NOV. 22, 2011

My hubby came back in July of this year, and I have continued with my healthy habits, and I am proud to announce that I got down to 135 in April (my original goal weight)! I then decided that I wanted to tone up and get to 125 lbs, which I did, right before he got home. After he came home, I found out about a 1/2 marathon coming up this December, so I began training for it, and lost another 15 lbs! I unfortunately found out that the 1/2 marathon will not happen after all :(, but I have continued working out and following healthy eating habits (whole wheat breads and pastas, and healthy snacks are normal in my house now)! And without even trying, my husband has lost 20 pounds by just following his Army physical training program, and eating the foods that I make for us at home :) I have been at 110 lbs and size 4 jeans for the past two months, and now all that's left is maintaining and toning!!!!!!!!!!
