Time for a healthier me...

After having my son in April, it's time for me to lose the weight. I do not want my son to be embarrassed that his mom is fat. I would rather him to be embarrassed because his mom is hot.

So my true journey started June 4, 2009. My highest weight as I walked into the delivery room was at 267. I settled into a lovely weight of 245 after having my son. I hated it. I was tired, stiff and felt horrible.

The end of May, I received an email from a yoga studio regarding ...

The end of May, I received an email from a yoga studio regarding their new boot camp. hhmmmm, that sounds like fun. June 4th was my first day of it. It has changed my life. The instructor throws in yoga and CrossFit. The first two months, I lost 25 lbs. I also got my eating under control. I started eating the Paleo way. Man, I felt GREAT!

I started cheating here and there and my weight loss stalled. So sitting at 220 for a few weeks. Another round of boot camp started and we are now doing 2 days of CrossFit (and yes, he is a certified instructor) and one day of yoga. I have now added The Zone to my Paleo ways. This last week I saw the scale go down.

I am addicted to CrossFit. This is what I needed. Now, if I can figure out how to incorporate more days (working out at home) I am doing it. My instructor is looking for a bigger space to go full boar. If he doesn't do it soon, I am looking into a space that I can go about 4-5 days a week.

I feel the change in my thinking. I feel the change in my body. I am doing this.

Welcome to The Zone Team.

You've done remarkably well so far - Congrats! Your drive and commitment are inspiring.

I also love to work out really hard. My passion has been kickboxing and I recently started spinning.

After reading your SparkPage I am going to look into CrossFit - I've never really heard of it before.
