Hi Everyone!

A little about me..

This is a second start for me; Second post-baby weight loss journey. I will not count anything other starts before then ;)

I am 34, married and we have a little boy named Ethan. He was born on March 2009. I gained a lot of weight with the pregnancy but I lost it fairly easily since I was breastfeeding and pumping.

Most of the weight i have now is from summer 2010 till Dec 2010. The first 20lbs was very gradual, but the last 17 was gained in 2 months. That was a very stressful time in my life. I chose to eat to soothe my pain. I really did not do it sub-consiously. I was so aware that I was eating for comfort.

Around Christmas time I reached my bottom. I will not get in details, but all I can say is that I was so down and out and really there was no other way but to start climbing up.

Right before the new year, I decided that I had to make changes so I can improve my overall health. I needed some motivation, so I watched a documentary on netflix called: "Change your food, Change your life." I guess what attracted me was the title. I needed to change my life. It was not about weighloss alone. I needed to be happy, peaceful and healthy.

I then came across the "Gerson Miracle." I reasoned that, if the Gerson way can heal cancer, then surely it can help with depression! And I was right. I have been eating the Gerson way since Jan 3rd. In brief, I eat Vegan, organic, and as much raw as possible.

I also exercise daily. for the past 4 weeks I have just been walking. I started with just 10 minutes of walking. Now I can walk 4 miles. 2 miles to the park, then I play with my son and then I walk back.
This week I started using the eliptical for 30 minutes. My goal is to get to a point where the walking is for relaxation and the main form of exercise will be more intense. e.g. Spin, running or an exercise class.

To be happy and
My goal is to lose 62lbs. I would like to get to 135. Yes, my weight at the beginning of the year was 197.

My Goals:
Get to 121lbs by August 17th
Run a 5k & then a 10k By August 17th

Maintain my weighloss , then have a healthy pregnancy.

My Program:
Eating 1000-1300 calories, eat upto to 2000 calories on saturdays.

Lots of Vegetables, and some fruit. + lean protein.

Personal Information:
I now enjoy exercising and especially love spinning, running and doing kickboxing with my husband.
