Here I am again, in the same place as before. Oh wait, now I am 6 years older. I am going with my six new years of wisdom, and doing it right this time. I am using several tools and methods for now, narrowing down what works, and giving what does not a swift kick in the @$$! If you have any tips for an old fat out of shape guy, I am ready to listen.
Be aware of what goes in my body, when and why!
Following a modified sp diet (I have to watch my carbs... diabetic), and exercising. Counting the small victories every day, and forgetting the stupid stuff.

Hi Butch, I saw your post on the diabetes thread. Seems kinda slow there. I found the BLC club. Biggest loser club. You can sign up now, the teams will be announced on Oct. 5 and it starts on the 7th. I think. lol Yo, is running it and she posted on my page, her page has all the information. You might like it. Really active.

Hi Butch, greetings from California. I am a type 2 diabetic and joined SP last Monday. This site has really gave me a jump start, with my weight loss, (5 # in 5 days, I know this is a honey moon period and that won't last. Mostly water I'm sure) and of course controlling my blood suger. I am religious about checking my blood sugar. First thing in the am and about 5 more times through the day. The oral medication that has worked for me is Januvia, talks to your liver and your pancreas. I am also on insulin. Scary at first but the other side of the coin is worse. Dialysis, ect. I watched my mom die 3 years ago from diabetes complications, she wouldn't take the insulin.
I've logged every piece of food that goes into my mouth. Dove into swimming and hour a day, with another 30 mins of cardio. I will try the strength training soon. I've found staying in the limits on the food entryand eating a really lite dinner, along with the exercise is working. Hey one piece of pizza didn't kill me and I still lost a pound.
