The Long and Winding Road

I've been having weight problems since I was about 16. I've done it all. Pills, weight watchers, crazy diets, nutricionist, more pills, more crazy diets, and the weight keeps creeping on me again and again. But all the other times I had my mom supporting me, and this time I'm at it alone since now I live in a different country from her and my husband is the laid back type.

I joined SP at the beginning of 2007 when my weight reached the highest ever of 220 lbs. I lost 15 lbs fast, ...

Pills, weight watchers, crazy diets, nutricionist, more pills, more crazy diets, and the weight keeps creeping on me again and again. But all the other times I had my mom supporting me, and this time I'm at it alone since now I live in a different country from her and my husband is the laid back type.

I joined SP at the beginning of 2007 when my weight reached the highest ever of 220 lbs. I lost 15 lbs fast, then kept oscillating between 205-210 for the rest of the year, until the holidays when I reached 215 again. It's a new year and decided that I need to put a stop on this weight situation, so I'm back at it and strong. Made my way from 215 to 202 in less than a month by adding lots of exercise to my day and paying lots of attention to what I eat.

At 28 I do realize it's harder each time to lose weight which is why I want this one to be the last!

I have recently bought a new weight loss diary where I input my weight weekly and add a star each week depending on how I did. I got shiny stickers for those and they work great as a visual reminder of how I am doing, and it's really nice to see green stars when I flip the pages of my diary.

My method:
Green star for the week I lose weight;
Blue star for the week my weight stays the same;
Red star for the week I gain weight;
Silver star for every 5 lbs lost;
Gold star for every 10 lbs lost.

My Goals:
To become healthier, thinner, so I can feel better about myself and fit into the clothes in my closet.

My Program:
Cutting back calories, doing more exercise, making healthier choices. Gradually.

Personal Information:
I'm brazilian, but married a puertorican and have been living here in Puerto Rico since October,2006. I'm 27, 5'3" and have been a yo-yo since I was 16 and did an exchange program in US (kingdom of fast food). Since then I've been losing and gaining weight, 20 lbs up, 30 down, 40 up, 50 down, etc., until now I've reached my peak and can't do this anymore.

Other Information:
I love reading and movies, as well as hanging out with friends.

Hi LSSCHWARTZ hope all is well. I love the picture you have as a background. Everything their looks delicious and healthy. Great choice. Hope things are going well for you.
