Laura's Mid-Year Resolution

I read books to escape, take pictures to remember, walk to relax, hike to see new places, and camp to have fun.

I currently work as a Family Educator for families of young children. I talk about health and nutrition all the time with them, but decided I needed to make some changes with myself. The weight gain has been gradual over the years. I eat pretty well, but haven't made exercise a habit.

I welcome new friends to join me in the quest of better health!

I actually moved twice in two months. Sort of crazy. I know. And out of character for me. I had to make some drastic changes, but now have adjusted quite well. Thanks to the support of family and friends. emoticon Laura

Welcome to the Diabetes Weight Loss Challenge. Stick with this team if none other. The success is there you just have to do the work. Read the articles and do the fitness as best you personally can do them. Don't worry to don't have to be as good as Coach Nicole. follow the food and fitness trackers and by the end of the 8 weeks you will be happy you signed up for this team.

Zumba is awesome! I don't do everything like the instructor but I move and have fun! The key to keeping at the workouts is to find something you like so you will stick with it!! Good luck!
