I'm 33 years old. I've been overweight for about 12 years now and severly overweight for half those years.

I became a new mother in February 2006, which was a complete miracle. As you know, obese women have fertility issues (I was one of them). I didn't have a problem with this for awhile since I didn't have to take any birth control for the majority of our marriage. One day we realized we aren't getting any younger and should try for a family. Of course it didn't happen on it's own. I had a some intervention from my OB. I went through a couple diagnostic tests one being the "rotor rooter" (my definition); Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is the textboook name. Anyone who is familiar with this test will agree my vocabulary is the most accurate description of the test. Anywho, this test did the trick as I was pregnant with my daughter 6 months later. Pretty simple compared to some fertility issues.

My daughter, Sara (age 4 1/2), is one of my many inspirations and truly my hero. I used to smoke at least 1 pack a day. I found out I was pregnant with her on a Thursday and quit forever that Saturday morning.

She is one of the top reasons why I've changed my life for good. I want to be a better mom physically. It's the very least I can do to repay her for becoming my little miracle.

Another story - I lost more than 120 pounds by September of 2008. In November of '08, I found out that I was pregnant again! My husband and I were not truly trying. I was able to get pregnant without thinking about it. My body was working the way it should. That's proof in the pudding losing weight can change your life :) My son was born in July 2009. I continued my healthy lifestyle and exercise plan throughout my pregnancy. My weight gain was minimal. My pregnancy was so easy that I didn't even feel pregnant. What a HUGE difference from my first pregnancy.

Old Goals

Slowly get back to working out. I couldn't workout the last couple weeks of my pregnancy.


To loose 100 pounds by my nephew's birthday (July 16th 2008).
*Goal met July 31st 2008

To be under 200 pounds by October 1st. **Goal not met. New date is November 1st.

Revamp goals - I'm pregnant! I will continue to use SP but the babyfit side of it. My goals are to have a healthy pregnancy and gain only "baby weight".
***Goal met July 14th 2009. I only gained two pounds total. My son was born happy and healthy on July 14th 2009 (6lbs 6 oz, 19")


My Program:
I workout minimum 5 days per week. My work offers fitness class at lunch time. Monday is Upper Body strength, Wednesday and Friday are total body workouts with weights and cardio. The other days are 30-40 minutes of cardio which includes running, swimming, stair climber and the elliptical.

My name is Lindsay and I live in Mesa, Arizona. For those not familiar with Mesa, it's apart of the greater Metro Phoenix area. I've lived in Arizona all my life. I've been married for about 12 years to a wonderful guy, Scott. We have a 4 year old daughter, Sara and a 10 month old son, Ryan.

Accomplishments -
I would like to have a second child someday. I'm working on me right now before I try for the next one. This go round, I would like people to know I'm pregnant simply by looking at me.
