I am a 35 year old mother of two having trouble shedding the weight I gained with my second child and she is 6 now! I have been stressed and anxious and am guilty of making excuses for myself and it is going to stop.

I am going to get healthy and lose some weight! I will stop catering to everyone else with desserts. I will make low calorie versions of desserts once a week, but not every day.

A sparkfriend has this posted on her page and I found it so motivational that I wanted to add it to mine so I could read it daily:

My Goals:
To be 135-ish by June of 2013. :)

To set an example for my children on making healthy choices

To have more energy and a better outlook on life

My Program:
Simply to plan meals and eat within the range SparkPeople provides for healthy weight loss.

To exercise at least 30 minutes, at least 3 days a week. More when time allows.

Drink at least 8 cups of water a day.

Personal Information:
I am a 35 year old mother of two in NC.

My children need to learn that exercise is fun, not work... so do I. I plan to teach all of us!

    Wow, looks like you had an early start to the day! Hope the sun is at least shinning for you!

    Oh, and on the oatmeal, that's one of my favorites too. I hardly ever ate it, but after having Carly in January I have had a huge craving for it, and peanut butter! Odd how this has always worked with me...rarely any cravings during pregnancy, but always after pregnancy!

    That sounds awesome about the hockey game with the scouts! Yes, I'm big into hockey. I was so happy when they announced we would have a season, even if it's a short one. We're on a 5 game winning streak!

    Thank you for that beautiful sun light this a.m.! It's been so overcast here the last few days. I'm glad we are buds now too! So are you up to anything today? I've got a lot of running around to do. Oh yeah, plus, my gf called last night. She's coming over this afternoon so I can fix her hair! She wasn't mad but did say that all her friends called her strawberry shortcake all night, lol. It will be a fast fix. Thanks for leaving the supportive comments. It makes a world of difference when you're upset and someone else can relate and say "it'll be okay." lol
