Lindsay's Motivation

I am motivated to loose about 40 lbs. but also to maintain a healthy life style. I have always enjoyed exercise and have just found that the older I have become, my children, husband and job, it is very difficult to get exercies in on a consistant basis. I want my children to learn about portion control, to understand how to eat properly and to exercise continually.

My Goals:
I would like to loose 40lbs, exercise 4 days a week with three of those days being with my children. I want to really understand portion control and help my children to understand the same.

My Program:
I will track my progress with the nutrition tracker. I will continue to plan my meals and snacks. I will schedule exercise into my life by running at work, exercising on the weeknds, and asking my kids to join me in bike riding and anything else they would like to do!

I would like to welcome and to meet you ... Good luck on your goal(s) and I'm here if you need help on this site. Stay focused and have a positive attitude will help. I'm here to keep you encouraged and to be supportive.

To STAY MOTIVATED I DO THIS ALL THE TIME:::
1) come in, read the posts, and do your postings
2) read, join any teams that you think you like, go to My Spark Points (click there) and spin the wheel, (that is where you go everyday to start with those points)
3) get it know the people and make new friendships
4) read some article.... (you make points reading these too)
5) make yourself to exercise like walking, jogging, or whatever you would like to
6) most of all :: have fun and enjoy yourself

Hi, I read your post about tennis elbow on the message boards. There is a phenomenon called collateral benefits. Even thought you can't do strength training on your dominant arm, if you do strength training with your non-dominant arm you will receive some benefits on your dominant arm from it. That will allow your dominant arm to get recovery time but still have exercise benefits which will speed up your recovery while preventing the rest of your body from loosing ground.
