Hi, I read your post about tennis elbow on the message boards. There is a phenomenon called collateral benefits. Even thought you can't do strength training on your dominant arm, if you do strength training with your non-dominant arm you will receive some benefits on your dominant arm from it. That will allow your dominant arm to get recovery time but still have exercise benefits which will speed up your recovery while preventing the rest of your body from loosing ground.
