I lost ten pounds using SparkPeople two years ago, and I ran a full marathon at the end of 2010, which was about the time I started putting a few pounds back on. Over the last year or so, I have gained back 10+ pounds because I stopped tracking my food and really stopped caring. I recently challenged my husband to see who could lose 10 pounds first. He has lost 5 so far, while I have lost 4, so we are making progress.
I would like to lose 6 pounds in the next three weeks. I am training for another half marathon on Memorial Day. I would like to have PR then.
I run on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and work out on our elliptical machine Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I do crunches, push ups, upper body dumbbell strength training a few times a week. I track my nutrition every day.
I'm a firefighter's wife and mom of two, a boy and a girl. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, cooking, sewing, organizing, and crafting. I also enjoy working out and reaching goals.
I love to read anything by Nicholas Sparks, Dee Henderson, Terri Blackstock, John Grisham, Catherine Coulter, Mary Higgins Clark, Jane Austen, Agatha Christie....
