I live on the west coast of Canada. I'm surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and beautiful mountain peaks. My city is truely beautiful. Living on the west coast we have a great deal of rain, that is why we are so lush and green. So when the sun does shine the vistas are spectacular.
I have a rare form of arthritis and over the past ten years I have lost nearly everything I love to do including walking. I sort of sound like a country and western song. I lost my job, my truck, my dog (never had one) but this disease took my life. But now I'm fighting back. Over the past ten years I have gained over one hundred pounds. I medicated myself with food. I just plain ate my way up the scale till I tipped two hundred and eighty eight pounds. So I'm here again. This time I have all my ducks in a row. I plan to shed my weight and have both knees replaced, then my ankles and then my spine surgery last. By the time I'm finished I will set off every security system there is out there. Boy will they love me at the airport. LOL! LOL! LOL!
I needed a lot of support because this journey will take a very long time, which just overwhelmed me. And I knew I could not do this on my own. So I set out to find a Obesity Councillor, and she is great. She also told me because I have an eating disorder I needed much more support than an online community could give me so I went back to Weight Watchers weekly and I have come home to Spark. I have prayed about my journey and I will continue to pray but I could use your help too. So please, lend me a hand, cause there are times when I will not be able to make this on my own. So I will take help where ever I can get it. Because this is do-able.
Now about the Low Note Diva, I love to sing. I belong to a choir and I have been labeled a contralto. I love to cook and have worked under a number of great chefs over the years. I managed restaurants and hospital kitchens for a living and loved my jobs. I grew up on a farm and learned to ride a horse before I could walk. I love my family and my friends and I'm so very thankful that I have God on my side. I'm married to a wonderful man and we have no children but our friends have wonderful children who we call our own. So I never feel I'm lacking in that department.
