I have lost 40 # before finding sparks people (thanks Kim). It is starting to get harder to lose. I am going on a cruise next month (July) I am close to my goal for that. My son is getting married in June of 2009 and I don't want to be the over weight mom. I need to reach my goal before this and keep it off. I lost 105# 2 years ago and but about 1/2 of that back on, I need to learn to keep the wight off after I lose it. Since joining sparks people I have lost another 20 #. I am at the lowest ...

I am at the lowest weight I have been since I started having kids it's been 22 years since I have weighed this little. I still have 20 more to go but I now believe I can do it. I have booked another cruise in Jan. 2009 so I have that to work towards in addition to my son's wedding in June so I still have to reasons to keep me on the right track.

Howdy! Welcome back to the journey! There are a number of folks who have had surgeries and managed to work out - you had better stay seated to do it, though, so as not to strain the knees. I know there are many seated exercises to do that are quite challenging. I have read some pretty inspiring blogs by members who were disabled, in a wheelchair, working out in the chair and losing. I took a "Never Quit Pledge" on the site to stick with it, to keep on Sparking and stay committed to the Community so I would not let myself slide far back before someone's support helped me mobilize back into healthy habits. So immerse yourself back into the Spark process - maybe try out the Coaching site and see if that helps you get rolling again! Good luck!
