2010 -The year I take care of me.
I am here to hopefully get and give the kind of support we all need to finally reach our goals! I have been struggling with this whole weight thing since I was 13. I am tired of the judgement that some people pass on to to what they see as a simple lack of self-control. I am in this to get healthy not just for vanity. I want to feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally. I suffer from cycles of depression and PCOS. Both conditions make life a struggle at time. I often feel like ...
I often feel like giving up but know I deserve to be the best I possibly can. I love to walk and run but life gets in the way and I have to come back to asking myself what is my priority? I am an animal lover but partial to my girls(dogs)Sopie and Lexi.

My Goals:
After reaching my goal of running the Crim 10 mile road race I completed my first half marathon....the Brooksie Way. I am hooked now and realize that the goal of completing a race helps keep me consistent. During the winter I got away from running and let other things get in the way. So now I am working on building a running program again.
My Program:
1. Eat every 2 to 3 hours. 2. Eliminated processed foods as much as possible. 3.Stay consistent with a Strenth training and running program 6 days per week. 4. Divert Emotional Eating by investing in other proactive behaviors. 5. Work on the inside by keeping a regular bible study program. 6. Live in the moment. 7. Refuse to give in or give up.
Personal Information:
From the great state of Michigan........where the weather changes by the hour!
Other Information:
I ran my first race(8K) on December 30,2006. I loved it and want to continue running. However I fell off the wagon shortly after.....but began running again as of December 2008. January 2009 I tore my ACL. The running was on the shelf until April or May. After purchasing a pretty pricey brace and getting about 13 sessions of Physical therapy, I completed the Crim training program and ran my first 10 mile race August 22, 2009. I then trainied and completedr my first Half marathon called the Brooksie Way. Now I will continue running and making progress with my weight loss goals.
