Enough is enough
Hello all! My name is Megan and I am a 31 year old mom of two beautiful girls ages 10years and 4. We are a homeschooling family, so our days are sometimes long but always worth it. Hello all! My name is Megan and I am a 31 year old mom of two beautiful girls ages 10years and 4. We are a homeschooling family, so our days are sometimes long but always worth it. After my boyfriend recently returned from an 11 month tour in Afghanistan, I realized that too many issues have been taking a negative toll on my life for far, far too long. First of all, I am a survivor of child abuse. I made it out in one piece, but not unscathed. I was recently diagnosed with PTSD, and have suffered from crushing anxiety and panic attacks for almost 20 years now. At times, I have actually had "Tony Soprano" moments and passed out. For the first time in my life, I am in therapy, doing my best to try to get a handle on it all. Second, I am also a binge eater. Only admitted that to myself very, very recently. These issues have created a perfect storm of sorts that not surprisingly has wrecked havoc on my health. I joined Sparkpeople a few years ago, and while I believe I did it for the right reasons, I was destined to fail at the time. Not being open and honest with myself and others about my journey and experiences just added emotional baggage to the weight I was trying to lose. I plan to rectify that this time around with lot's of blogging, and lot's of honesty. I hope to be inspired by the success of others, and to someday be one of the inspiring success stories other people read about.

My Goals:
First goal: To not feel like total crap all day, everyday. Meaning: no more overeating induced brain fog, feeling breathless after walking around the block, or being exhausted after 10 minutes playing at the park with the kids.
My Program:
Small changes can really start to add up (or so I've heard) The ones I'm starting with: Wearing my FitBit 24/7 Taking my vitamins Cutting waaaay back on the fast food Cuttting out soda Drinking more water Not eating after 11:00 pm.
