I have been on a "diet" for a long time but with little committment. I am about to turn 30 and along with other changes in my life, I have decided to really get serious about getting healthy - not just losing weight but truly taking care of myself. I am excited and a little scared but am feeling good about this!

I know what you mean about how you can't resist the 5K for a cause you support. It makes it even more worthwhile.

The Bridge to 10 K is going very well except I've been slacking this week due to the cold. I was doing my 45 minute day earlier in the week and felt like I could keep going - so I did. Ended up running for 60 minutes with only 2 walking minutes. It wasn't entirely easy but I did it!
