Taking care of myself is the hardest thing I will ever do.

After losing 33% of my body weight, half of it has found me again. I have lost hope if I don't complete my reset body button in 2014. I will just live with a heavier me and have a shorter lifespan. So many things have changed in my life that I have little motivation other than self respect. Today, Dec 16th, 2013, I plan to prepare for a good start on Jan 7th, 2014.

My Goals:
NEW GOAL:
122# by 04/28/2013.

I would like to be 127#
by 4/28/10.
Goal met 3/28/10.
I reached 116.5# on 6/4/2010, 116# on 7/15/2010 & 115.5 on 7/28/2010.
Goal met 9/4/10 run 2 miles nonstop in 18mins 50secs. Goal met 9/8/2010 run 30 mins nonstop, 5k.
Gain full, painless use of my fingers. After 20 months my fingers were back to their normal size of 7. The drs said after 6 months they would no longer shrink, but they did.
Tone my muscles so my skin will shrink. The skin never did fully shrink...too many pregnancies, perhaps.

My Program:
I need to track my nutrition, workout 6 days per week, bike and walk hills, too.
Stay focused so as not to sabotage myself during these 19 weeks ahead.

Personal Information:
My husband of 32 years is the love of my life. We live near Portland, OR and enjoy each other's company.

Other Information:
We are the proud parents of 5 grown children, one a veteran, love Jesus, and America, especially Portland!

I'm back on track and hubby got me some strawberries to make up for his sabotaging me. I'll have some for breakfast with some eggs! I'm down a pound from last week! emoticon emoticon emoticon

13 days and I'm down 5# already! It's so "easy" when I commit to checking into SPARK every morning. emoticon

It's working! Less than a week back on sparkpeople and the weight is coming off with just 30 minutes of exercise/day. Tracking food and keeping those percentiles on target are the key. 50% carbs, 30% fats emoticon and 20% protein.

Thanks for leaving your comment on my Friend-feed".:I know what you mean having a shoulder injury. It kept me from riding "pain-free" for several months last year. I had to delete my annual Los Angeles to Wash. DC trip because of it. I have found cortisone shots really helped me, now I can ride 600 miles pain free.

Riding your motorcycle is called "Wind therapy". As I get older and in the Winter I find myself more depressed than usual.

Take care of yourself and good to hear from you. It has been a while. Good luck with your getting back into shape. I jumped back onto the SparkWagon last Dec. 26th and have lost 25 lbs. Injured knees, shoulder etc kept me from exercising. But once I was well I still did not start working out or dieting...very depressing when I gained half the weight it took a year to take off..

"Chuck, I just haven't been able to get back into the habit of signing onto sparkpeople first thing in the morning. Had a friend I used to chat with before work and since that stopped due to schedule changes, I find myself depressed. It's been long enough now, so need to hit the pound the "concrete" to shed some pounds. I did ride some during the winter, but sprained my shoulder a month ago. When I'm mended and not fearful of re-injury or pain, I'll be back on my bike. I miss the wind on my face!"
