I'm here because I want to be healthier and enjoy my youth with a wonderful new body! I survived...yes SURVIVED a bad marriage! As I was celebrating I looked at my body and actually felt like I was looking at old battle scars. I couldn't believe how I'd turned to food in order to cope. Hello,
I'm here because I want to be healthier and enjoy my youth with a wonderful new body! I survived...yes SURVIVED a bad marriage! As I was celebrating I looked at my body and actually felt like I was looking at old battle scars. I couldn't believe how I'd turned to food in order to cope. I couldn't believe that I hadn't noticed (or accepted) that I really looked like this. My final wake up call came when my children's pediatrician told me that if I'd care of myself like I take care of my children nutritionally, I would be at my goal weight.

It's true because I have taught my children to be healthy and make good food choices. (I will boldly say to anyone that fat children are a sign of bad parenting. It is no different than children who misbehave all the time--step up and do your job). They are now 3 and 5 and I need to stop talking and lead by example. I am up for the challenge and cannot wait to stop hiding behind all this extra baggage. I have decided to have an attitude of gratitude and enjoy the beauty in everything around me. I am such a precious jewel and very much worth it (thank you JO*ANNE*IE!)

My Goals:
I want to lose 10 pounds by May 15.

My Program:
I walk on a treadmill 5 days a week 45 minutes on a 5% incline 3.5 speed. I am finally doing an 18 minute mile!

Cutting out 80% of my daily intake of sugar and substituting it when I can. Smaller portions, a little less carbs than normal.
