I think I can, I think I can!
I am a Gemini, lover of soft things, and citizen of the world. I like chocolate and I am ready to change my life. There was a time when I hardly thought about what I ate or how much I weighed. In high school, I played a lot of sports so I would pretty much eat anything I wanted and never gain weight. I was never happy or comfortable in my skin though - which I've learned is the true meaning of healthy. Enter college. I kept the Freshman 15 off by exercising like crazy, ...
I am a Gemini, lover of soft things, and citizen of the world. I like chocolate and I am ready to change my life. There was a time when I hardly thought about what I ate or how much I weighed. In high school, I played a lot of sports so I would pretty much eat anything I wanted and never gain weight. I was never happy or comfortable in my skin though - which I've learned is the true meaning of healthy. Enter college. I kept the Freshman 15 off by exercising like crazy, but slept less and ate more (and worse) than ever before. I managed to stay the same size by study abroad during the summers: 3 month cleanses to sleep normal hours, eat normal food, and walk everywhere! My last semester in college, it all hit the fan. Stress, no sleep, 4-5 cans of Diet Coke a day, and eating almost exclusively boxed and microwave meals ... I packed on 15 lbs (maybe more, I stopped weighing myself) and couldn't fit into any of my clothes by the time I graduated. Then I spent a year living at home, working all day, feeling exhausted, and feeding my feelings with ice cream. I had a brief love affair with Bikram Yoga, lost almost 15lbs, then injured my back (no core strength=doing poses incorrectly) and got in a car accident. The weight packed back on because I once again started eating carelessly instead of working to become healthy from the inside out. So, that's the story, as truthfully as I recall it. I'm here to become healthy, inside and out, and this time that is my main goal.
