Starting over again. And again. And again. Daily. Persistance is key, right?

My Goals:
Long term goal is to drop 17 pounds, get healthy and regain enough energy to keep up with my kids & grandkids.

Current short term goal is to lose my first 20 pounds in the next 8 weeks. Not quite 10% but a good, attainable goal if I work at it.

My Program:
I'm struggling with a soda addiction (help!), trying to drink more water, and am determined to establish a love affair with fruits and veggies.

Am going to try to cut down carbs a little more (not totally, though), increase my protein intake a little bit more and cut out the non-healthy snacks.

I have not been doing so well with going to the women's fitness center down the street from us. I am making a commitment to change my sedentary ways one step at a time and hope to get back to going regularly soon. I know exercise is crucial for me as I have had no luck in the past without it. Starting slowly, but increasing by minute increments each day. Baby Steps! Gonna do this!

My name is Ronda. I am married and have 4 kids. My oldest is 24 (and married with his own 6 year old, 3 year old & 5 month old daughters), my middle child is 12, and my youngest are 7 year old twins. We reside just outside Boise, ID.

Other Information:
I like to read, knit/crochet, love photography & scrapbooking. I'm really into designing/decorating shows on HGTV, and hope to remodel my home someday soon. I'm trying to be more positive this year, although must admit I'm struggling already. Hope to find lots of support here and make getting healthy happen!
