I had a fairly good overnight at my folks. My stepsister who is year older than me was there too and we had some nice conversations with my stepmother (her mother). We had a couple of episodes of her trying to run away and one outright battle but the good times far exceeded the bad times.

We may be nearing the end of her time at home. A room is open and if all goes well with the paperwork, she may go in on Friday. Sad but very necessary.

Spaying and neutering is not recommended in chinchillas. They are actually poor surgical candidates.

We were lucky she couldn't get into the boys cages or we might have babies soon. LOL. Medicine sure has some weird effects, doesn't it? LOL.

They gave medicine yesterday to Blocker that made her "high". She was wild, like a teenager, and even wanted to go visit the boy chinchillas in their cages. LOL. They didn't know what to think. We had our hands full. I didn't get her to go to sleep until early this morning. They are both doing better already though. Porkie tried to eat something out of his bowl for the first time in weeks. They are both less resistant to eating. We are exhausted.

Thanks Nancy (and Louie and Lily)!! That painting class certainly improved my outlook. I find painting quite relaxing even as I worry about how it's going to turn out.

Charlie, Molly and Tony send their love back. Tony woke me this morning by knocking over a dog food bag. I put him in bed with me awhile but he was ready to run as soon as he felt free -- even as he was purring while being petted. Once I was up, he found a spot to sleep.
