Over a year since I retired. It's been good, and I expect it will get even better. I've adjusted and continue to do so. It's an evolutionary process.

I've always suffered from mood swings (depression), and my eating habits are a challenge to keep on the right track. But I keep plugging away at it. I tell people I'm an optimist as I always believe there is a better tomorrow just waiting to be discovered.

My Goals:
New goal is to maintain, at least. Still not sure what my body will decide is my ideal weight but enjoying the ride until I find out.

Continue healthy eating habits.

My Program:
Walking the dog burns many calories. I also do some power walking/little jogging two to three times per week. On those days I do a few strengthening calisthenics. Also take a Zumba class and a yoga class once each week. I have cut out unhealthy snacks and most sweets.

My secret is that I use the Fitbit, I have since March. Now that it syncs to SP I am able to use that as my daily exercise minutes. I don't have to do anything either. That is how I have so many minutes. I get about 3 miles in at work, and it records that with minutes ( like not 8 hours and I only got 3 miles but like 75 minutes and I got 2.6 miles something like that) I don't have to figure out any of that anymore. I can also set the fitbit for an activity like the gym, and start and stop it. It records in on Fitbit, but adds it to spark people with my daily entry. It's. I don't have a sedentary job I work in a restaurant.

I joined the Plymouth team and saw you like to bike -- my husband and I bike sometimes with friends and you're welcome to join us :)

Thank you. I am hopeful and know that the messages in your comments are true. I just need to get to that point of comfortability (is that a word) for myself.

Thanks again.

emoticon to SP. It takes some time to adjust from a lifetime of working to a shift without the same parameters. BUT...I will tell you from experience that it gets better. I took early retirement and it was a Godsend as my DH had some serious medical issues for a few years, now though...I'm so enjoying it. I am busier than ever. I volunteer (which I love) and have done more things out of my comfort zone that I probably have done in my entire life. Feel free to add me as a friend, check out my spark page and come enjoy the journey!!
