I joined Spark People in August of 2010, tired of the way I have lived my life, of the way I see myself. I'm 28 years old and I feel like I have never lived my life. I am self conscious about myself in everything I do. I have never had very much self esteem, and through out my school days I was constantly picked on and ostracized for being the 'fat' one.
Its time to change, and with Spark people I feel that I finally have the support I need to go the distance, and the friendships to carry me there!
September, 2010 starts my first full month as a Spark People member and I feel I've started strong with my friends in the Biggest Losers Challenge Team, and Challenge + Motivation = Weight Loss. Thanks guys =)
I wish to lose 110 pounds with a combination of diet and exercise, changing my life despite the fact that few people in my life share my goals, or support me.
My program consists mostly of forming a good exercise habit to start with. A combination of cardio activity and the more often neglected strength training. In addition to that I am slowly altering my portions, and trying to chose from healthier foods. Its a slow process, but I want to make sure I do it right!

I love Broadway, and musicals. My all time favorite is probably Wicked, with Phantom of the Opera pulling up in a close second, or possibly dead even.
I love to read, and it doesn't matter what. I can lose myself in just about anything I read. I tend to lose my temper if people disturb me while I'm reading. Its not personal, I'm just into it!
