My Journey:

My story is not unique. I have been lazy, and enjoyed it. Of course, the scale is my proof!

I first found Sparkpeople in January 2010. I can remember being both excited and overwhelmed with the website. It took me about a month to get my Spark page up and to figure out how everything worked. I did a lot of reading from the spark book, and started to follow my plan. I first found Sparkpeople in January 2010. I can remember being both excited and overwhelmed with the website. It took me about a month to get my Spark page up and to figure out how everything worked. I did a lot of reading from the spark book, and started to follow my plan. It was VERY time consuming at first. I did lose some of the weight, but I didn't stick with it. I could not completely dedicate the time for myself.

Eventually, I gained back all the weight I had lost...and then some. I did not want to have to buy new clothes...again. I needed to start thinking about my weight, my health and my happiness. Was I really happy right now? For the most part, yes....BUT...I am not happy with my fat. I hate my fat. It gets in the way, it jiggles, and it's ugly.

And then it happened...I blew out the butt seam in a pair of crop pants...in public. I was mortified! Was this a sign...or just bad karma? I knew instantly, it was time to make that commitment again.

I am grateful for all the support, and most of all...happy to see that no matter how many times you have to re-start...Spark is there for you.

My Goals:
Simply put...my goals are to lose weight and develop a healthy lifestyle.

Specific Goals:
1) get to One-derland by 08/01/13 (Darn! Almost made it!)
2) get to personal goal of 170 by 6/4/14.
3) Ultimate goal 159 per doctor by 1/1/15.

When I reach my personal goal, I would like to buy myself a new refrigerator with an ice crusher and water dispenser.
